Team Access Terms

For companies that arrange HVAC Load Calculator Pro for their people with a team access code. These terms sit on top of the Terms of Service, which continue to apply to everyone who uses the app.

The short version: Your company pays Watson Consulting for a number of seats for a set term. We give you one team access code. Each device that uses the code takes one seat and has Pro until the term ends. There is no automatic renewal and no charge through the App Store or Google Play.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between Watson Consulting (“we”) and the company or organization named on the order (“you”). The person who accepts the quote or pays the invoice confirms they are allowed to do so for that company. Paying the invoice is acceptance of these terms.

What you get

  • Pro on each seat. The same Pro features an individual subscriber has in HVAC Load Calculator, on the number of devices (“seats”) stated on your order, for the term stated on your order.
  • One team access code. A device takes a seat the first time the code is confirmed on it, either typed into the app or delivered by your device management.
  • Both platforms. Seats can be used on iPhone, iPad and Android devices in any mix.

Seats

  • A seat belongs to one device. When every seat is taken, further devices are refused until you add seats or we free one.
  • When a device is replaced, lost or reassigned, email us and we will free its seat. Reinstalling the app on the same iPhone or iPad keeps its seat.
  • You can add seats during the term. Added seats are charged at your per-seat rate for the time left in the term.

Your team access code

  • The code is for your employees and contractors doing work for you. Do not publish it or pass it to other companies.
  • If a code is shared outside your company, we may replace it and ask your devices to use the new one.
  • We may turn off access for a device that is using a seat in breach of these terms, and will tell you when we do.

Term and renewal

Access runs from the start date to the end date on your order, normally twelve months. It does not renew by itself. We will contact you before the end date with a renewal quote. If you do not renew, Pro switches off on your devices when the term ends; project data stays on each device, and each person can still subscribe individually through the App Store or Google Play.

Price and payment

  • The price is the amount on your quote and invoice, in US dollars, paid in advance for the full term.
  • Invoices are due within 15 days. The team access code is issued when payment is received.
  • Prices do not include sales tax or similar taxes. Where we are required to collect them, they appear on the invoice.
  • Team access is sold directly by Watson Consulting. It is not an App Store or Google Play purchase, and Apple and Google are not parties to it.

Refunds

  • If team access is not working for you, tell us within 30 days of the start date and we will refund the order in full and turn the code off.
  • After 30 days, payments are not refundable, and unused seats are not credited. If we end your access for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the term.

Support

Support is by email at mike@hvacloadcalculator.online. We aim to reply within two business days. There is no uptime or response-time guarantee. After a device is confirmed, the app does its calculations on the device and does not depend on our servers to work day to day.

Data

To confirm a seat, the app sends the team access code, a random ID for that installation and an anonymous app user ID to our seat-check service. We also keep your company name, the contact details you give us and your order history so we can run your account. We do not receive your employees’ names, emails or project data through the app. The Privacy Policy has the detail.

Professional use and liability

The app is a professional estimating aid. The warranty disclaimer, professional disclaimer and limitation of liability in the Terms of Service apply to team access. In addition, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from team access is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending access

  • You can stop at any time by telling us; the refund section above says what is refundable.
  • We may end access if an invoice is unpaid 30 days after its due date, or for a serious breach of these terms that is not fixed within 15 days of our notice.

Changes to these terms

The terms in force when you pay an invoice apply for that term. Changes posted on this page apply from your next renewal.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
